Bravo unsure of recovery time

Real Sociedad’s Claudio Bravo has given an injury update, pleaded for patience in his recovery and backed Enaut Zubikarai to perform in his absence.

The Chilean international goalkeeper has been ruled out for several weeks after fracturing his wrist during a training session last week.

“I’m doing OK, with less discomfort and less pain. It was an accident,” he explained to reporters today.

“It was a natural move that we do day after day. I received a blow from the ball from a teammate and fractured my wrist in doing so.

“Whether I recover before the time the club believe or not, I have to remain calm because I know that this is delicate, for the position that I play.

“In the coming days I will not feel discomfort or have feelings of pain in the wrist. But I have to take it easy, if it is one month then it is one, if it two then it is two. Whatever sees fit for me to feel good.

“I have great confidence in [replacement Zubikarai]. Everyone knows how he is able to perform.”
