Alba: Puyol has had no luck

Barcelona defender Jordi Alba has sent his condolences Carles Puyol, after the club captain dislocated his elbow against Benfica.

The 34-year-old centre-back feel awkwardly on his left arm at Estadio da Luz, and had to be stretchered off, with many doubting if he will be fit for El Clasico on Sunday. But the young wing-back believes Puyol will be back in no time.

“The injury was a real pity,” he told UEFA's official website. “He has had a lot of bad luck in terms of injuries lately, but we know that he is very strong physically and mentally.”

The Blaugrana currently top Group G, and will host Celtic in the next round of Champions League fixtures on October 23.
