Real Sociedad President Jokim Aperribay insists the San Sebastian club can beat Athletic Bilbao in Saturday’s derby.
The Txuri-urdin are two places and one point ahead of Marcelo Bielsa’s men and have won both their home games at Anoeta, against Celta Vigo and Real Zaragoza respectively
It is form that Aperribay believes Philippe Montanier’s side can repeat against neighbours Bilbao.
“I think Real have a team to win this derby,” he told a Press conference.
“Athletic had a magnificent season last year and we can’t underestimate them for one moment.
“At home we are very strong, having won both games, and we must know how to win this match,” said Aperribay, who reiterated that he had total confidence in the job Montanier is doing following the weekend defeat to Levante.
