‘Mexican League better than Spanish’

Former Barcelona Marc Crosas midfielder has slated La Liga, claiming the Mexican League is 'much more exciting.'

Crosas, a product of La Masia who has also turned out for Lyon and Celtic, now plies his trade with reigning Mexican champions Santos Laguna.

“In Spain, with all due respect to the other teams, only two can win, Real Madrid and Barcelona,” commented the 24-year-old in an interview with Marca.

“Here in Mexico almost any team can win. There is a lot of competitiveness and that makes the League much more exciting for the viewer.

“The level of the Mexican championship is immense, as much as there are people who strive to despise it.”

His claims are substantiated by his club's current plight, as Laguna are languishing in eighth in the Liga MX, which is led by the unheralded Club Tijuana.
