Malaga turned down Isco offers

Malaga reportedly rejected two significant deadline day offers for Isco this summer, from Tottenham Hotspur and Anzhi.

The young attacker has drawn attention since the start of the season for his form for Manuel Pellegrini’s team and as Sport suggest, he was the subject of two bids this summer.

Both reportedly came on the final day of the summer window, with Spurs said to have offered €12m cash plus Giovani dos Santos in exchange and Anzhi believed to have offered €20m cash for the 20-year-old.

However, Malaga turned these down, just as AS report the player turned down an approach from Barcelona, on the advice of his father, who told him to remain in the Costa del Sol for the time being.

Isco, who scored two of Malaga’s three goals on Tuesday night in their Champions League win over Zenit St Petersburg, has a €21m buyout clause in his contract, which increases each summer by €1m until its current expiry in June 2016.
