Espanyol have confirmed that they will appeal the dismissals of Coach Mauricio Pochettino and striker Samuele Longo.
Italian teen Longo, who is on loan from Inter, was shown a second yellow card by referee Perez Montero for celebrating with fans after putting the Catalan side 3-2 up with 10 minutes of their home game against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday remaining.
Pochettino was then sent to the stands for protesting against a decision. The match ended in 3-3.
Pochettino's assistant Toni Jimenez was also dismissed for his protests, although the club will not appeal in his case.
