Jemez: Falcao best in the world

Ahead of trying to stop him on Sunday evening, Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez has enthused over Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao.

The Colombian has scored hat-tricks in each of his last two games for Atleti and former defender Jemez, who takes his Rayo side to the Calderon this weekend, is in awe of his ability.

“I have been to the Calderon and have had the chance to see him live and Falcao is an animal, he is one of those forwards that really impresses,” the Coach told reporters today.

“I think Falcao is the best No 9 inside the penalty area in the world. He has a sixth sense for knowing where the ball is going to fall, whilst he never gives up on a lost ball either, he is an example for his teammates.

“I’d like to see him at Real Madrid or Barcelona. He would roughly get the same number of goals as [lionel] Messi or [Cristiano] Ronaldo, he would walk into either team.”
