‘No anxiety’ at Valencia

Antonio Barragan has reassured fans that he and his teammates at Valencia are not concerned by their League position.

After three rounds of action, which has included trips to both the Santiago Bernabeu and Camp Nou, Los Che sit in the lower echelons of the League, with two points to their name.

However, it is not a situation to have impacted on the club’s mood, according to Barragan.

“The team seems fine to me, with the desire to get a win and climb back up the table with a win against Celta,” he told today’s Press conference.

“We are calm about all this. We know that if we work like we have done in the last three games, then the results will come.

“There is no anxiety about winning in the squad. We are working hard to prepare for Saturday’s game in the best way possible and we want the three points.

“On a personal level I am happy. It's true that I haven't had my opportunity to play yet, but I am working hard in training in order to gain the Coach’s confidence. When I get my chance, I will make the most of it, 100%.”

For the defender, it also doesn’t matter if his opportunity is at full-back or in central defence.

“I have played in other games in both positions, so I am ready to occupy whatever position the Coach requires me to fill. I will try to do the best that I can to help the team.”
