Milan in for Llorente too

Milan are reportedly willing to do battle with Juventus for the signature of Athletic Bilbao forward Fernando Llorente.

The tall striker is expected to leave the Basques in January or next summer, after refusing to sign an extension to his Athletic contract beyond its June 2013 expirary.

Mediaset understand that Milan have identified the 27-year-old as a plausible market target to fill the void in their attack left by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

It is believed that the Rossoneri have already met with one of the player’s agents to hold preliminary talks over a future switch.

However, it is Serie A rivals Juve who are reported to still hold the advantage for the Spanish international, as they are understood to already have a €3.5m-a-year deal agreed in principle.
