Salomao keen for Depor return

Deportivo de La Coruna winger Diogo Salomao admits that he has been anxious in recent weeks to return from injury for the team.

“Even if I still have some pain now, I feel good,” began the Portuguese midfielder in a Press conference today, now that he has returned to Coach Jose Luis Oltra’s set-up after recovering from a muscle injury.

“I was anxious to return to training with the group and I am very happy that I played a few minutes in Thursday’s game, even though it was a friendly.”

Deportivo Boss Oltra may not risk the 23-year-old next weekend against Granada, as he must ‘consult the doctors and see how he feel’ before bringing him back completely.

From the sidelines, Salomao has been impressed with what he has seen from the Depor team, one that has several Portuguese speakers in it this campaign.

“The team is very good, very solid, just like last year. We have had a reasonable start to the season, but we have to move further up the table.

“For us it is good because we become more familiar when we speak the same language. I try to speak a little Spanish but I still do not understand it enough.”
