Ortega’s Real Madrid regret

Ariel Ortega has revealed today that he harbours one main regret from his playing career, that he never played for Milan or Real Madrid.

The Argentine, who is still active at 38 but currently unattached, had spells in both Spain and Italy in the early part of his career, playing for Valencia, Sampdoria and Parma.

However, as he reflected today, he wishes he could have played for two other notable representatives from those countries.

“Milan and Real Madrid were the clubs I wanted to play for,” he told Clarin today.

“Throughout my career I had hoped to be able to play for one of these teams. Unfortunately, though, this dream did not come true.”
