Volta charged for Levante

Massimo Volta says he didn’t have to think about joining Levante for a second and he hopes to turn his loan into a permanent switch.

The Italian defender, who can play at centre-back and full-back, joined the Valencian outfit in the final few hours of the transfer window on an initial one-year loan deal.

Whilst it was a last-minute switch, the 25-year-old reflected it was not a hard one to make.

“I didn’t think about it for a second – the chance to play at Levante, in La Liga and in European competition is a unique opportunity,” he stated at his presentation today.

“I’ve had four days here in Spain and from the President to the players everyone has made me feel at home. As the Coach said, this team is one big family.

“I knew about Levante and some of their players, like Ballesteros and Juanfran. On August 29 I was told that Levante were interested and the next day everything was closed. It was very quick. I have to do my best for Levante so that they might buy me.”
