Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho will travel to Zagreb on Friday to watch new signing Luka Modric as he lines up for Croatia against Macedonia.
The Portuguese coach will focus his attentions on the 26-year-old playmaker, as he looks to gain more of an understanding of his new big-money arrival.
“It is true that he has shown an interest in coming to watch the game,” Neven Cvijanovic, a spokesperson for the Croatian Football Union (HNS), said.
“Of all the matches played on Friday, Mourinho chose ours, which is a huge compliment for Luke Modric,” Croatian website jutarnji.hr added.
