Fernando Torres admits that as he anticipates reaching 100 appearances for Spain this week, he is fortunate to be a part of the current generation.
The Chelsea man will reach three figures in terms of games played for La Roja during this international break with an appearance in either the friendly against Saudi Arabi or the World Cup qualifier with Georgia.
“God willing, I will see a game so as to reach 100,” the striker told reporters today.
“I’m fortunate to be a part of this generation of players. For many year we have been together, we have experienced good times, recently, and bad.
“To be among those selected is very difficult in this national team, hopefully I will meet the 100 games and then many more.”
