Barcelona Vice-President Josep Maria Bartomeu has clarified that Milan have an option to purchase on loan striker Bojan Krkic permanently at the end of this season.
The Catalan official was alongside sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta speaking to the Press this afternoon, and confirmed the Italian giants have the option to buy the Spanish international in June 2013.
“Barca had sold the player to Roma for €12m and when he finished the loan, next year, we had to pay €13m. But, Roma has decided to hand him to Milan.
“Milan wanted to have an option to buy the player, and at the time that Barca will recover him, Milan now have an option to buy. However, we can block this action.
“We cannot provide extra information because Milan asked for that to remain confidential.”
Bojan struggled for playing time last term under Luis Enrique in Rome and the arrival of Zdenek Zeman this summer meant he was surplus to requirements in the Italian capital.
