Getafe President Angel Torres has waded into the Cristiano Ronaldo debate, suggesting that both the player and the club need to think about each other.
Ronaldo declared himself unhappy at the weekend and Torres, who was speaking at the presentation for new signing Paco Alcacer, commented that whilst he is being selfish, so too might others in the demands placed on him.
“Cristiano is providing a taste of his own medicine,” the outspoken club President reflected.
“He has to be less selfish, but one must comprehend what it is to be him. He is under a lot of pressure and you have to realise that he is still just a person.
“You must understand that he is human, even if he is a great footballer and a star. I don’t know the subject in depth.
“When you are selfish and score lots of goals, I think that you have to think of others, but that the others must also help, realising that you are one of a kind.”
