The President of the Portuguese Football Federation has reassured that Cristiano Ronaldo remains focused in the international break.
The player has generated a lot of speculation, reaction and discussion this week for declaring himself unhappy at Real Madrid.
However, Fernando Gomes does not believe that it will hinder his performance whilst on national duty with Portugal this week.
“Cristiano and all our players in the squad are motivated and focused on doing what it takes to qualify for the World Cup,” he told reporters today.
“I’ve not directly spoken to Cristiano because that is the job of my Vice-President Umberto Coelho, who deals directly with the players.
“But, Cristiano is very motivated.”
