Deportivo keen to land Klasnic

Deportivo La Coruna are on the verge of signing former Bolton Wanderers striker Ivan Klasnic, according to Marca.

The Croatia international is a free agent after being released by Bolton Wanderers in the summer, and can therefore move to a club despite the transfer window being closed.

There is competition however from Liverpool, after their boss Brendan Rodgers stated publicly that he was in the market for an unattached striker. Klasnic would seem to fit the bill for the Reds, but according to the Madrid newspaper, Depor are confident in landing their man.

The 32-year-old has spent the past three season in the Premier League, where he scored 20 goals in 77 appearances for the Lancashire club.
