Jemez: Rayo tight against Sevilla

Rayo Vallecano Coach Paco Jemez insists his side must not ‘gift anything’ to Sevilla, as Rojiblancos Coach Michel names his squad to face the Franjirrojos.

“We must not gift Sevilla anything, with the ball they are dangerous and we must not mess around with it,” reiterated the 42-year-old tactician in his Press conference ahead of the game.

“We will not always play well, other clubs have resources we do not, but as long as we have more spirit we can still come out the better side.”

Jemez shrugged off the loss of goalkeeper Diego Lopez through suspension and attacking winger Antonio Reyes out injured as a boost to his side.

“I expect one of the best teams in the Division to arrive, to come to Vallecas to win, to continue their run, so we cannot give them anything.

“The absences of Diego Lopez and Reyes are not something we are focussing on, we must beat whatever team Sevilla put out.”

Meanwhile Sevilla boss Michel has named his squad to face Rayo Vallecano.

Palop, Julian, Coke, Fernando Navarro, Botia, Cala, Cicinho, Fazio, Spahic, Javi Hervas, Trochowski, Maduro, Campana, Medel, Rakitic, Jesus Navas, Negredo, Alex Rubio, Manu del Moral
