Dani Alves has returned to training with the rest of the Barcelona squad ahead of their game with Valencia on Sunday evening.
The 29-year-old dynamic wing-back pulled out of the Catalan giant’s Super Cup second leg defeat to Real Madrid during the warm-up after complaining about a muscle twinge in his left leg.
Alves, however, is not expected to start at the Camp Nou this weekend as a precautionary measure, with Martin Montoya taking his place in the starting line-up.
Carles Puyol and Thiago Alcantara also returned to training during the week following spells on the sidelines with injury issues.
