Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno recognises the difficulty of today’s Champions League group stage draw, but says the target remains the same.
Los Blancos, who were eliminated at the semi-final stage of last year’s edition of the tournament, begin the 2012-13 campaign against last year’s champions from England, the Netherlands and Germany.
“We haven't had that much luck but then our opponents will be saying the same,” he told reporters after the draw paired them with Manchester City, Ajax and Borussia Dortmund.
“We will see tight games in which there will be a lot of pressure. We are hoping to get to the final this year and the demands from the off will be enormous.
“Manchester City are a very strong team who have invested a lot over the years. Ajax have a good side and it will take a lot of effort to beat them.”
