Benfica winger Nolito’s agent says he will not be joining Real Betis before the close of the transfer window.
The Cadiz-born player has been a target for Los Beticos since last season, after he joined the Portuguese giants following the rejection of a new contract with Barcelona in July 2011.
However, despite interest from the Andalusians, the 25-year-old has no intention of returning to his native country just yet.
“Nolito is settled at Benfica. He is relaxed and is not thinking of leaving Benfica,” his agent Oscar Font told Portuguese radio station TSF.
“He considers Benfica a great club, has adapted well to life in Lisbon, and is very happy with both the club and supporters.
“I can also confirm there has been no concrete offer for him from Betis.”
