Mourinho forcing Kaka out?

A report in El Pais is suggesting that the reason Ricky Kaka is set to leave Real Madrid is only because Jose Mourinho does not want him there.

Reports have run all summer that the Brazilian playmaker is on the market, with Milan delegates currently back in Spain for a second attempt at working out a deal for the 30-year-old.

The very first reports of Kaka’s possible exit centred on his return to pre-season training and an alleged 45-minute meeting held with Coach Mourinho, where the Portuguese informed him that he was not part of his first-team plans for the coming season.

Since then, however, Mourinho has publicly been on message that he would be happy for Kaka to stay or not, with the insinuation that it is down to the player where he plays.

Even so, El Pais believe there is more truth to the original scenario – that Mourinho wants to force Kaka out of the club, and also out of Europe.

Today’s edition of the paper reports that Kaka believes Mourinho ‘monitored’ him during his first week back training this summer, before approaching him to ask: “what will you do with your future?” to which Kaka replied that he was happy to stay at Real.

It is then alleged that Kaka was summoned to a meeting the next day with Mourinho, where El Pais report that the following exchange of words took place between Mou, Kaka and his father, who also acts as one of his agents.

Mourinho: “Do you not realise that you do not count in my plans?”

Kaka’s father: “No!”

Mourinho: “Are you not going to do anything to revive your career?”

Kaka’s father: “If you want my son to go, pay him what you owe.”

Mourinho: “If your child stays then he will be locked out of my project.”

Kaka’s father: “Your project…and Jorge Mendes’.”

El Pais report that Mourinho then presented only two choices to the player – a loan back to Brazil on half the wages he is currently on, or a permanent transfer to the US, with LA Galaxy reportedly keen.

Kaka is then understood to have quickly agreed to a 50 per cent pay-cut to rejoin Milan on an initial loan, but saw Mourinho reject that proposal.

Reports in Italy have Vice-President Adriano Galliani admitted that the Rossoneri are again pushing for a loan move for the player.
