Chori set for Rayo debut

New signing Alejandro ‘Chori’ Dominguez is set to make his Rayo Vallecano debut in the game at Real Betis on Saturday night.

The former Valencia midfielder [pictured, left] joined the Madrid club last week after spending last season on loan at River Plate and is the only new face in Paco Jemez’s 18-man squad.

Youngster David ‘Nono’ Gonzalez has been left out after last week’s home win against Granada, while central defender Jordi Amat, who came off in the first half with a knee injury, is expected to be fit despite not having trained until Thursday.

Goalkeeper Dani Jimenez and midfielders Rafa Garcia, Juli and Quero have been left out for technical reasons.

The full squad is:

Goalkeepers: Ruben Martínez, Ismael Gil

Defenders: Sueliton Pereira, Jose Manuel Casado, Roberto Roman 'Tito', Mikel Labaka, Alejandro Galvez, Jordi Amat

Midfielders: Adrian González, Jose Carlos Fernandez, Roberto Trashorras, Javi Fuego

Forwards: Andrija Delibasic, Leo Baptistao, Lass Bangoura, Nicki Bille, Alejandro 'Chori' Domínguez, Francisco Medina 'Piti'.
