Deportivo de La Coruna’s Augusto Cesar Lendoiro has confirmed that the club are looking at Reggina’s Christian Stuani, and updated on Lassad Nouioui.
The newly-promoted side are in the market for a forward, partly because last year’s top scorer Nouioui has failed to agree a new contract.
Lendoiro has chosen to confirm that Uruguayan Stuani, who has spent the three previous seasons on loan in Spanish football, is a target.
“He’s one of our options, an important one, but not the only one. What one cannot do is tighten the rope too much,” the President told reporters today, before turning his attention to Nouioui, whose contract with the club has expired.
“What was offered to him will now not be maintained because it has been months at Depor without knowing if he will renew.”
Lendoiro claimed that the club had offered to treble his previous earnings. Nouioui has also chosen to break his silence on the matter this evening.
