Atletico Madrid’s Oliver Torres was forced to quickly deny any affiliation to rivals Real Madrid after he was pictured at Los Blancos’ superstore today.
The 17-year-old midfielder, who has caught the imagination of Atleti’s fans this summer with his performances for the Spain Under-19s and then Diego Simeone’s side in pre-season, was pictured posing for photographs with fans at Real’s megastore in Madrid.
However, the youngster, who made his debut for Atletico at the weekend, quickly posted a note on Twitter to explain why he was there.
“I did go to the Bernabeu, but only to get some boots for an emergency, do not think that I am hesitating, I am an Atletico.”
