Sahin’s Madrid exit hits snag

Nuri Sahin’s exit from Real Madrid is proving more problematic than expected, according to Marca.

Sahin’s representative Reza Fazeli has met with Real officials yet, despite the player having made it clear he wants to leave the Santiago Bernabeu on loan, there has still be no headway made concerning his departure.

Liverpool are favourites to sign the Turkish international, with Madrid President Florentino Perez believed to be in favour of accepting the Anfield club’s initial offer, but Sahin is understood to prefer moving on a season-long loan to Arsenal, who are also very much interested.

As a result, Fazeli departed the Santiago Bernabeu offices on Thursday night without reaching any kind of agreement and at the moment negotiations appear to have stalled.

However, the Spanish giants are insistent upon the matter being resolved quickly and will push for a final solution within the next week.
