Enzo Maresca is the latest player rumoured to be close to leaving Malaga this summer, with Sampdoria on the verge of completing a deal.
The Italian has been linked with a return to Serie A this summer and he recently admitted that he would keen to do so.
Reports in Italy understand that Sampdoria are close to an agreement for the 32-year-old, who only last month signed a one-year contract extension at the Rosaleda.
It is believed that a deal could be reached and sealed by as soon as the end of the week.
Maresca has had previous spells in his native country with Juventus, Bologna, Piacenza and Fiorentina.
