Sahin wants out of Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin is expected to tell the club within the next few days he wants to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

According to Marca, the Turkish international realises his chances of forcing his way into Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up next term are minimal, particularly since he was used primarily at left-back on the recent pre-season tour to the United States.

The Portuguese made it clear before the trip that he thought Sahin, who suffered numerous injury problems following his signing from Borussia Dortmund last summer, was not at the same physical level as fellow midfielders Xabi Alonso, Lassana Diarra, Sami Khedira and Esteban Granero.

Sahin has been in continuous contact with his representative over the summer and is studying a number of proposals, although his favoured option appears to be a move to the Premier League.

The 23-year-old wants his future sorted out as soon as possible, wherever it may lie, and does not want a repeat of last season where he was playing catch-up with the rest of his teammates fitness-wise.

However, Los Blancos are not prepared to discard Sahin completely and would prefer a loan move with an option to buy him back, something that could appeal to both Arsenal and Liverpool.
