El-Arabi pens Granada deal

Granada have announced via the club's official website that they have signed Moroccan international Youssef El-Arabi.

The 25-year-old has been training with the Andalusians at their pre-season camp in La Manga after spending last term with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, where he netted 17 times in 23 games, and has now been offered a permanent contract.

El-Arabi, who can operate as a centre-forward or in midfield, was born in France and started his senior career with local club Caen, where he scored 28 goals in 79 appearances before moving to Al-Hilal in 2011 after the French club rejected bids from both Sevilla and Genoa.

In September 2010, El-Arabi made his debut for Morocco when he came on as a substitute for Mounir El-Hamdaoui against the Central African Republic, being capped a further nine times since, and becomes new Granada boss Juan Antonio Anquela’s ninth signing before the start of the 2012-13 La Liga campaign.
