Silva tight-lipped on Madrid rumours

Manchester City midfielder David Silva is remaining tight-lipped on reported Real Madrid interest in him.

Recent stories in Spain have claimed that Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is keen to bring the 26-year-old to the Santiago Bernabeu but Silva, who helped Spain to Euro 2012 glory against Italy last weekend, refused to reveal whether there had been an approach from the Spanish champions.

“I have just started my holiday and I am only thinking about resting right now,” he told Canarias Radio on being questioned about it.

Silva started all six of Spain’s matches at Euro 2012 and was delighted with his input to Spain’s triumph.

“When you have more playing time and you can help then you feel important to the team,” he explained.

“The best moment? We were together for a six weeks with moments in which you are happy, and others in which you are sad. I can’t mention one in particular,” he added.
