Juventus want Marco Asensio from Real Madrid – report

Juventus want to sign Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio at the behest of Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.

Diario AS cite a report in Italian media outlet Rai Sport that Juve have been given hope due to Asensio losing a regular starting slot in Madrid’s side.

The 22-year-old has failed to find his best form this season, netting just one goal across La Liga and the Champions League.

Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema have established themselves as the two main players in Madrid’s attack, and whilst Asensio has started 10 league games, the Mallorcan is no longer an automatic starter under new Coach Santiago Solari.

Asensio has starred for Los Blancos since joining the first-team squad in 2016 following his move from Real Mallorca and loan deal at Espanyol.
