Sevilla president Jose Castro has pleaded for patience from the club’s fanbase after Sunday’s defeat to Getafe continued their slow start to the season.
The Andalusian club are now without a league goal in three matches following their opening day win at Rayo Vallecano and have just four points from four games.
“We suffered a painful defeat because we didn't see what we're used to,” Castro said on Monday, as stated by Sevilla club media.
“Although the team fought hard we weren't clinical enough. When I went into the dressing room on Sunday to motivate the players I saw a group dying to get back to winning ways and forget this bad run.
“It's true that we're only just getting started, we've put in a lot of effort into this squad and we need to have a bit of patience. We have to believe in the squad, that's why I want to defend my guys.”
