‘Rejected 3,000 offers for Madrid’

Andriy Lunin claims he rejected ‘3,000 offers’ to join Real Madrid, who represent a ‘dream’ for the teenage goalkeeper.

Madrid signed Lunin in a reported €12.5m deal on Friday evening, and the former Zorya Luhansk shot-stopper made it clear he only had eyes on joining Los Blancos.

“It was my dream to play for Madrid, I told my country’s Press that I’m a Real Madrid fan,” he told Marca.

“Right now I’m not thinking about being the No 1 goalkeeper. I’d like to be it, but what I’d like even more is to be here for many years and lift the Champions League with this team.

“Everyone knows I received 3,000 offers, but Madrid are my dream. I didn’t come here for the money. Ronaldo? He’s the best player in the world.”
