Valencia Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral believes the club’s €25m deal for Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia represents great value.
Los Che activated their option to buy the Frenchman this week after a 2017-18 campaign that yielded four goals in 36 appearances from the midfielder and a Champions League finish in La Liga.
“He’s a player who really did everything possible to join Valencia,” Marcelino told Marca.
“He was the true architect of his performances. We always try to convey security and confidence to our players, and he earned it.
“Our work was very simple. Once you’ve considered the figures and his performance, I’d say that we’re talking about a player who’s been bought for little.”
