Valencia duo to miss Barca trip

Valencia will be without attacking duo Luis Nani and Santi Mina for Sunday’s visit to Barcelona as both have been ruled out through injury.

Mina had started the past two matches for Voro’s side after missing three weeks through a knee injury, but has now picked up a calf injury, while Portuguese winger Nani has been struggling with a thigh problem sustained in last month’s win over Real Madrid.

“Nani will visit a medical specialist to assess his recent injuries to try and reappear as soon as possible,” read a statement from Los Che.

Striker Rodrigo Moreno will also be unavailable for the visitors, meaning on-loan Barca forward Munir El Haddadi is likely to start against his parent club – whom he scored against in October – while Simone Zaza, on loan from Juventus, should also feature.

Valencia won at the Camp Nou last season and have won five of their last ten La Liga outings, including victories over Athletic Club and Real Madrid.
