Valencia ponder Kondogbia, Hernanes

Valencia are reportedly looking to Italy to bolster their squad as Cesare Prandelli’s side are linked to moves for Inter Milan and Juventus midfielders.

The former Azzurri boss held crisis talks in Singapore with owner Peter Lim earlier this week (http://www.football-espana.net/62109/prandelli-attends-singapore-crisis-talks) where the two discussed January transfer plans, with the signing of a defensive midfielder among the priorities.

Super Deporte now reports Valencia are targeting Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia – who previously had a stint in Spain with Sevilla – to fill that role.

The French midfielder fell out of favour at San Siro under Frank de Boer, although he could yet rekindle his career at the Nerazzurri under new boss Stefano Pioli.

As an alternative, Los Che are looking at Juventus’ Brazilian midfielder Hernanes, formerly of Inter, who is not naturally a holding midfielder but his versatility would allow him to assume the role, it is thought.

Valencia currently sit 17th in La Liga and are set to have a busy January transfer window of recruitment.
