Malaga fear Sandro January exit

Malaga are hopeful no clubs attempt to land striker Sandro Ramirez in January, less than five months after he joined the club from Barcelona.

The Andalucian club's Sporting Director Arnau appeared on Canal Sur Radio to explain his move from the Catalans was only possible with a low release clause, which has led to rumours of a January exit after recent good form.

"I hope no club goes crazy for Sandro," said Arnau.

"It would have been impossible to bring him in without a low clause – he needed to be persuaded to come here as he had been an important part of Barcelona's squad before.

"We hope no club goes crazy and he stays here, he knows he can grow at the club, is guaranteed playing time and competiting with the top clubs.

"He has made a very good start to his life in Malaga and we hope that continues for many years."

The 21-year-old has netted five goals in eleven outings for Los Boqueneros since his August move.
