Valencia prioritise Zaza?

Valencia have reportedly made West Ham United and Italy forward Simone Zaza their top striking target for January.

According to Superdeporte, Zaza has taken precedence in Valencia’s search for a new No 9 due to being on the market and a consensus between Coach Cesare Prandelli and sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch.

The newspaper adds it has been told that Los Che are “well-placed” to sign him if the Juventus loanee departs London Stadium, given Prandelli knows the player from his time in Serie A.

Valencia’s interest in Zaza is said to stem from last summer, when they unsuccessfully tried to include him in a deal to sell Andre Gomes to Juve.

Superdeporte also acknowledges Napoli’s Manolo Gabbiadini and Milan’s Gianluca Lapadula are on the club’s shortlist, as is Genoa midfielder Miguel Veloso.
