Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has revealed he gets along better with Diego Costa than he does with Karim Benzema.
Many believe the 24-year-old deserves to be a regular in Zinedine Zidane’s starting line-up after his summer return to the club from Juventus and he has revealed how he has a better relationship with Spanish teammate Costa than with the French striker.
“I get along better with Costa than Benzema due to the language. [Costa] understands everything I say, all the expressions, as he’s lived all his life here,” Morata told La Sexta, who then also stressed he has “a good relationship with both”.
“Sometimes we have gone [places] together. Costa is a great person. I have good relationships with other teammates too.”
Morata has netted eight times in sixteen appearances for the national team and alongside the Chelsea striker, has become an important part of the squad under previous manager Vicente Del Bosque and current incumbent Julen Lopetegui.
