Former Valencia boss Gary Neville has reportedly recommended his old club Manchester United to sign 18-year-old midfielder Fran Villalba.
Neville gave Villalba his first team debut for Los Che in December last year in a 1-0 defeat at Villarreal, while he also named the highly-rated teenager on the bench on a number of occasions with various appearances in the Copa Del Rey.
Plaza Deportiva suggest that there is uncertainty surrounding his future at the Mestalla due to various changes in management while Neville has told Manchester United that they should sign him.
However, Gary's brother Phil – a former Valencia assistant coach – took to twitter to doubt the report, saying that it is 'far from credible'.
Villalba's contract at Valencia expires in June 2018 and whilst the club are keen to renew the deal, he currently has a release clause of €4m.
