Nuno ‘not proud’ of Valencia placing

Nuno Santo admits he is “not proud” of Valencia’s placing in La Liga but hopes Saturday’s derby against Levante can kick-start their season.

Los Che have won only three of their nine League games in 2015-16, leaving them ninth in the table and some fans to voice their dissatisfaction, but the Coach is backing his team to get Mestalla rocking when they lock horns with their arch-rivals this weekend.

“We’re not proud of our position in the table,” he said at a Press conference, in which he also confirmed Alvaro Negredo’s exile for a fourth consecutive game.

“We want to respond quickly and have a good challenge against Levante coming up. Whether or not [Levante] have a new Coach, Valencia are still the better team.

“We’re never too far from the crowd. We need to return to being a team who excite their fans.

“[Saturday] is a good time for them to support us from start to finish. We have to be the team who dominate and win.”
