Gracia ‘worried’ about Malaga goals

Javi Gracia admits to being concerned as Malaga again failed to find the net, losing to Villarreal through a Fernando Tissone own goal.

Marca note that Malaga have now not scored in 450 minutes and have yet to win this season, picking up two points from a possible 15.

“I’m worried about it. We’re not playing like we did last season and we won’t do,” Gracia said, reflecting on his much-changed squad.

“The players are different. The squad is angry, sad, desolate.

“It was a missed opportunity. What I see with the rawness in these moments is the reality. There was optimism that in the fifth round we were going to change the dynamic.

“It’s difficult after a game like this, with an own goal. What I always highlight is the value of our supporters.

“They cheer us up and keep supporting us, and soon we’ll give them what they deserve.”
