Real Sociedad President Jokin Aperribay has denied making an approach to Real Madrid for Asier Illarramendi.
Aperribay was speaking as La Real presented Jonathas but was asked by the assembled Press about former player Illarra.
“We haven’t had contact with Madrid, nor with the player or his representatives. So far we haven’t made any approach in this direction,” Aperribay said, Marca reports.
Sporting director Loren added that David Moyes had requested a central defender, a winger and a striker, and the club had delivered Diego Reyes, Bruma and Jonathas.
