Official: Valencia sign Santi Mina

Valencia have completed the signing of Santi Mina from Celta Vigo for a reported €10m.

The teenage striker has penned a six-year contract with Los Che after passing a medical and will vie with the likes of Alvaro Negredo and Rodrigo Moreno for a place in the side’s attack as of next season.

“I leave a club which have given me everything and fans which have made me feel very happy, so I’ll always remember them,” he told Valencia’s official website.

“I also know that Valencia’s fans are amazing and some of the most faithful in the world as they never fail to cheer [their team on].

“I’m looking forward to playing at Mestalla and I’ll strive to return the affection they show all their players.”

According to several Spanish media outlets, Valencia have met Mina’s release clause.

The 19-year-old made his La Liga debut in February 2013 and scored nine goals for Celta last season.
