Campbell pushing for Real move?

Joel Campbell has reportedly sought clarification on his future from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger as Real Sociedad show an interest in the striker.

AS claims the Costa Rican, his agent Joaquim Batica and La Real sporting director Loren phoned the Frenchman after Thursday’s friendly with Spain to demand where he stood with the Gunners.

Despite signing a new contract with Arsenal earlier in the year, Campbell is likely to leave the north Londoners this summer, although they are not in a hurry to push through a sale.

The attacker also ended last season with Villarreal on loan, having previously spent time at Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiakos.

Real, meanwhile, are actively on the lookout for reinforcements and have reportedly made Campbell a priority signing, but Arsenal may decide to use the player as a bargaining chip in other deals.

Additionally, a transfer fee is considered a sticking point, but Campbell is nonetheless believed to be keen on securing a move to Anoeta.
