Rafa Benitez intends to make Gareth Bale the centre point of his Real Madrid side, according to reports from England.
The Daily Mirror says Benitez, who is to hold a Press conference in Naples tomorrow at which he is expected to announce his Napoli departure, informed Florentino Perez that Bale would be his star man.
Benitez has been described as ‘99% certain’ to replace Carlo Ancelotti, who was sacked on Monday.
The former Valencia, Liverpool, Inter and Chelsea Coach would use Bale in support of a main striker, the newspaper claims, and try and rebuild his relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo, which at times stuttered this season.
It has been suggested Bale could return to the Premier League but the player himself wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that he intends to remain in Madrid and is looking forward to next season.
