Zidane: ‘Pogba interest logical’

Zinedine Zidane feels it is only “logical” that Real Madrid are interested in signing Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Serie A giants are reportedly asking €100m for the 22-year-old, whose agent recently suggested that he had no desire to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, current Real Madrid Castilla boss Zidane told Canal Plus that Los Blancos would not be put off in trying to secure his signature.

“I don’t know where he’ll go and you’d need to ask him that because right now he’s with Juve. Considering his age and potential I certainly think he has plenty of room for improvement,” said the Frenchman.

“When we are talking about a player like Pogba it’s only logical that Real Madrid and other big clubs are interested. It’s logical isn’t it? He’s young, strong and can only get better.”

Juventus have intimated they would be unable to stand in the player’s way if he did decide to leave, while Barcelona have also been linked with him recently.
