Luis Enrique doesn’t want Barcelona going into the second leg of their Champions League game with Manchester City looking for a draw.
The Catalans took a 2-1 lead from the first leg, at the Etihad Stadium, thanks to a Luis Suarez brace.
Lionel Messi missed a penalty at the death but Enrique defended the forward, preferring to praise him for his bravery in stepping up.
“Only those who dare to take a penalty can fail,” he noted, Marca reports.
“I’d give the team a very high rating. We have been better than our opponent with a first half at a very good level, but we need to win at home.
“The week of the return leg isn’t any different [despite the Clasico coming shortly after] because the goal is to win regardless of the result here.
“All of City’s players are internationals and we’re facing a very difficult tie.
“There are some aspects to improve but I want to congratulate the players for their performance and attitude on the pitch.”
