Madrid eyeing Morata return?

Real Madrid are reportedly weighing up the idea of buying back Alvaro Morata from Juventus this summer.

Los Blancos sold the striker to the Old Lady last July in a €22m deal, but they retained repurchase options for each of the next two summers at €30m and €35m respectively.

It is also understood that Madrid have first refusal in the first two years of Morata’s five-year contract with Juve to consider offers from other clubs.

According to AS, however, the capital giants have no intention of selling him a second time and recently congratulated the 22-year-old for his improved performances in Turin.

Furthermore, the newspaper claims the Bianconeri were willing to up their bid to €24m if Madrid agreed to set a buy-back option at the end of 2015-16.

Despite a slow start to his career abroad, the attacker has begun to feature more prominently at the expense of fellow Spaniard Fernando Llorente, scoring seven goals this term.

Juve have high hopes for Morata, with Coach Massimiliano Allegri repeatedly declaring that the youngster “can be a global star in the future”.
